How do I know that my financial advisor is trustworthy?
In this short video (3:45), Ron tells how the recent Ponzi scheme that has been in the news is an eye opener that should lead us to be sure about the integrity of our financial advisors. He shares his thoughts with you on how to choose a financial counselor who will suit your needs.
As always, Ron’s encouragement to you is to go back to God’s Word to restore your faith. Take a moment to consider the following scriptures and meditate on their Truth and their application.
Job 12:9-16 (NIV)
“Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind. Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food? Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding? To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are His. What He tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man He imprisons cannot be released. If He holds back the waters, there is drought; if He lets them loose, they devastate the land. To Him belong strength and victory; both deceived and deceiver are His.”
Proverbs 11:14 (NIV)
“For lack of guidance a nation falls, but many advisers make victory sure.”
Proverbs 2:12 – 15 (NIV)
“Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.”
Matthew 10:16 (NIV)
“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” |
