"College is just around the corner, and we have no college fund started.  I am starting to panic, and don't know where to begin!”

In this short video (1:50), Ron continues his six-week Virtual Feedback Loop series in which he answers some subscriber questions. This week’s question has to do with funding a college education. Saving for college ranks as one of the highest long-term financial stresses for families with children. Ron’s answer, as a father of five and grandfather of eleven, may cause you to think about the pressure that you are putting on yourself to save for your children’s college education. He answers from a place of perspective and from a father’s heart.

As always, Ron’s encouragement to you is to go back to God’s Word to restore your faith. Take a moment to consider the following Scriptures on children and meditate on their Truth and their application.

Deuteronomy 4:9 (NIV)
“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.”

Philippians 4:19 (NKJV)
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 37:25 (NIV)
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

Psalm 112:2 (NIV)
“His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.”

2 Corinthians 12:14 (NIV)
“Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.”

Colossians 3:21 (NIV)
“Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.”
