Stewardship: Money is a Test
In this short video (1:55), Ron continues an eight-week series on biblical stewardship. This week, he shares that money is a test. God uses money to test my heart and to reveal my own ability to trust Him.
As always, Ron’s encouragement to you is to go back to God’s Word to restore your faith. Take a moment to consider the following Scriptures, and meditate on their Truth and their application.
Proverbs 30:8b-9 (NIV)
“Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much, and disown you, and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.”
Matthew 6:20-21 (NIV)
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Philippians 4:11-12 (NASB)
“Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’”
