Generosity: The Bible’s View

In this short video (2:28), Ron begins a new series on generosity and shares some of his favorite verses in the Bible on generosity. He maintains that generosity is the only way to break the power of money in our lives.

As always, Ron’s encouragement to you is to go back to God’s Word to restore your faith.  Take a moment to consider the following Scriptures, and meditate on their Truth and their application.

Deuteronomy 16:17 (NASB)
"Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you.”

Proverbs 3:9-10 (NIV)

“Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”

I Chronicles 29:14 (NIV)
"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from You, and we have given You only what comes from Your hand.”

I
Timothy 6:17-19 (NASB)
“Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.”
